What will be in my share? Do I get to choose?
Your share will include fresh seasonal produce.
During the spring season, you will receive cool-season crops like kale, greens, lettuce, carrots, cabbage, broccoli, strawberries, and other “early” season veggies and fruits. If you like leafy greens like kale, lettuce and Swiss chard this is the season for you!
Then we will get into the warm season crops for summer like sweet corn, blueberries, squash, tomatoes, peppers, eggplant and lots more! Fall season may include a mix of warm-season crops in the beginning and cool-season crops at the end.
Our software platform called Harvie will ask you when you sign up to select your produce preferences. Rate everything we grow on a scale from “love it” to “not for me”. Your personal preferences will then be used to fill you share each week with the produce you prefer.
How much are shares? What sizes do you offer?
Standard Shares are $31 per delivery
We recommend this size for 1-3 people.
Large Shares are $41 per delivery (formerly referred to as a Family Share)
We recommend this size for families of 4 or more people or those smaller families that cook at home more frequently.
X-Large Shares are $52 per delivery
This is our largest share size! We recommend this size for hardcore foodies and large families who prepare most of their meals at home.
Where and when do I pick up my shares?
There are more than 20 convenient locations and times across west Tennessee and north Mississippi to pick up your share box. Check out the map on this page for the most up-to-date information on those locations.
What happens if I can’t make it to pick up my share?
Members have the ability to Reschedule Shares, Cancel/Hold Shares, or Change Delivery Locations.
If you can not make it to pick up your share within the allotted time, you can arrange for someone to pick it up for you. Shares not picked up will be stored for 24 hours before being donated. Contact us at FalconRidgeFarmTN@gmail.com within 24 hours of missing the pick-up to check your options.
Can I split a share with someone else?
Yes! You are welcome to split a share with someone. However, share-splitting is the responsibility of the member; we do not manage the splitting of shares. Members may make arrangements with family, friends and/or neighbors.
Does Falcon Ridge Farm provide the container for our share?
Yes! You will receive your share in a cardboard box and/or plastic liner. Cardboard boxes are reusable, please return your empty box. The plastic liners are disposable or recyclable. (They repurpose well as trash bags for small to medium trash cans!)
How fresh is the produce?
Your produce will be picked at its peak of ripeness, packaged and delivered to your pick up location within hours! It doesn’t get much fresher than that. Typically the produce you buy in grocery stores is picked before it is ripe, is 7-14 days old and has traveled hundreds and sometimes even thousands of miles.
Are you organic?
We are not certified organic but do use a lot of organic farming practices. We use no petroleum–based pesticides. We use no Roundup on any fruits or vegetables. We do not grow any GMO crops. We are parents, grandparents, and beekeepers, so our farming practices are child and bee friendly!
