Homemade Baileys

Homemade Baileys Irish Cream is a classic festive treat! But why buy when you can make your own creamy, rich, indulgent Baileys Irish Cream at home? This simple recipe is perfect for holiday gatherings, gifts, or a cozy night by the fire. You can craft this iconic drink in minutes with just a few ingredients and a blender!

You’ll need:

  • 1 cup heavy cream or half & half
  • 1 can (14 oz.) sweetened condensed milk
  • 3 tablespoons chocolate syrup
  • 1 teaspoon instant coffee granules
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1 2/3 cup Irish whiskey

To make:

Blend the Base: In a blender, combine the sweetened condensed milk, heavy cream, chocolate syrup, instant coffee granules, and vanilla extract. Mix on low speed for about 30 seconds until blended.

Add the Whiskey: Slowly add the Irish whiskey with the blender running at a very low speed. Blend for just a few more seconds to fully incorporate the alcohol without over-mixing.

Bottle and Store: Transfer the homemade Baileys into sterilized glass bottles with tight-fitting lids. The Irish cream liqueur can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 months (as if it will last that long!). Shake well before serving to make sure the flavors are thoroughly blended.

Cheers to homemade goodness!
